Abi Clarke
In the past,
i.e. In the early 2020s, comedians might have had the opportunity to entertain
for decades in the UK before being invited on television panels and selling out
arena tours. It's not as simple. One form of art that can still be performed
live is comedy, however there will soon be no arena performances. However, one
comedian from Bristol has been able to reach an international audience via the
social media lockdown. The pursuit of fame on the internet isn't something that
Abi Clarke wanted to achieve. Abi, 24 is from Henbury, and started making
online videos "to create a network of people who like my stand-up
comedy." "I had been performing frequently in Devon to guys older
than 50 who weren't as hot on my Love Island Sims and Twilight references, so I
decided to go online to find other young women who enjoy my stand-up
comedy." Abi, who lives in Hen bury with her parents, has continued to
upload her videos to Instagram, Twitter, and Tik Tok. Her inspiration comes from
a variety of sources, including conversations with strangers, the chat room,
and writing notes on her smartphone.
